Events and Courses
Orchard Link offers members a range of events and training days throughout the year.
Training courses vary with the seasons and include pruning, grafting, cider making and orchard management. Events include visits to orchards and cider makers, a members’ annual gathering, talks, presentations and demonstrations.
Our current programme is listed here. Note we run an additional programme of events and courses specifically for community orchard groups and their members, called Growing Orchard Communities. All members of Orchard Link can attend the seasonal Network Days that are part of the community orchard project.
Some Orchard Link courses and events require you to book a place, and instructions for this are contained in the detailed information for each event. Unless the course description indicates a different arrangement, you can simply fill in the event booking form online and submit it: the course co-ordinator will confirm your booking and send you more information, including payment details.
Events and courses run by other groups
From time to time we may list activities and courses run by other organisations: these will be clearly labelled as External Events, and the responsibility for running them, and for handling any queries or bookings, will rest with them and not with Orchard Link.
Orchard Link members qualify for members’ discount when attending Orchards Live courses, our sister organisation in north Devon. The Tavy and Tamar Apple Group also runs a programme. You can find out more by following the links to their websites.
