Newton and Noss Community Orchard

Small is beautiful

Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo Community Orchard is situated in the picturesque estuary village of Newton Ferrers. It is a young orchard planted by a group of enthusiastic volunteers from the village who wanted to create a community orchard for the whole village to enjoy. With support from the parish council they were able to go ahead.

The orchard is within the village near to a playground, tennis courts and community woodland. An annual Apple Day is held in October where juice is made along with food, drink and family activities. Volunteers helped to make some beautiful seating for the orchard to encourage people to  use and enjoy the place and get involved if they wish to.
